Every day, over 6,100 school buses loaded with 300,000 students run throughout the city. The safety standards of these buses have become increasingly important for the Education Administration Department. Now, the Administration has spent over 10 million RMB rolling out a new monitoring system, which has been installed in all buses this past November. With one data recorder and four cameras in each bus, the Dongguan Education Bureau’s command center is able to keep track of speed, driving route, capacity and snapshots of a bus inside. Upon finding any violation, the affected school will be immediately informed. The system also connects and shares data with the traffic department to ensure the safety of the little ones.
